Did you go out for New Year's Eve?
Uh, no. We stayed home and watched Dark Knight. I fell asleep at 10.30 and could not even be roused at midnight. What can I say, it's been a long year.
What did you do on New Year's Day?
We went to a lovely open house at our friends' new house. It was low-key, kid-friendly and a good way to start the year.
Do you have New Year's resolutions?
No.
Are you making anything from a Rachel Ray cookbook for New Year's night dinner?
Why, yes! Yes, we are. We're making one of our faves, chicken tostadas. We've never made them for Logan so we're going to see what he thinks. I highly recommend these. Recipe here.
These are incredibly easy and delicious and lend themselves to lots of variety. You can change up the meat (pork instead of chicken) and/or the salsa (red instead of green), the cheeses and the veggies. Make them the official way first, though, they are pretty good.

I will be making those tostadas tout de suite with mahi mahi, i think. thanks for the recipe. And btw, your New Year's sounds really familiar. I think I was washing dishes when the clock struck actual midnight. Crazy times around this joint!
