Feels Like a Lifetime Ago
It is really possible that a year ago, I was on bed rest, terrified for Avery and wondering how long I could keep those boys growing before they would try to bust out?

He's a real trooper, made of strong stuff. You've come a long way, Olliepop! Happy Birthday!
Several years ago on a trip to Colorado we visited the Denver Zoo in eager anticipation of their new exhibit, "Predator Ridge." This exciting installation was supposed to be "a panoramic view of Africa!" featuring lions, spotted hyenas, African wild dogs, crowned cranes, African porcupines, banded mongoose, vulturine guineafowl and more.
On the day of our visit, however, the only animals visible at Predator Ridge were two fat lions basking in squares of shade. "Huh," we said. "Two lazy cats waiting to be fed. We can get this at home." And thus, our manor had a name.

It is amazing, but Ollie is a strong, happy and determined Superboy. I can't wait to see him and all of you this weekend.
I'm imagining this is a conflicting week for you. Thinking of you.
